TV in the 90s

 TASK 1

Television: If it wasn't for Television's our evening would be boring. What would women do when they meet up with their friends for coffee? What would they talk about? Well, in the 1920s the Television was invented by two men called Philo Fransworth and Charles Francis Jenkins, but their Television was a lot different to what we have today. We can get over 50 channels, 12 HD channels and 24 radio stations on free-view. In the 1920s you could only get one channel. Television was stop when World War 2 started because all the broadcast were live so they stop that so they could focuses more on radio. Also radio was more powerful then TV in them days because words spook loader then actions.

Radio: Radio was very popular around the time of the great wars such as World War 1 and 2 because TV was not invented then but nearly everyone had a radio because they were not that expensive. Radio has been around since the 1900s, Italian scientist Guglielmo Marconi invented it and as a result even shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics. Radio has changed a lot since then now we get radio's in any shape or form you can even get it on you mobile but radio is not that popular because we have YouTube, CD's and downloads we can listen to any song we want without all the radio adverts so this is a disadvantage to radio.

Publishing: When we hear the word publishing we think of books and newspapers, well that's what it is but magazines as well. Publishing has been round for a very long time the first newspaper was published around 59 BC. In 1605, the first printed weekly newspaper to be published was called Relation. In England the first newspaper to published was The Oxford Gazette published on November 7, 1665, at the time when London was in the grip of the devastating bubonic plague were half the population passed away. The first newspaper published in the north east was the Northern Echo in January 1970 this would make the newspaper nearly 75 years old.

Film: Were to start with film, we have all grow up around films those Disney classics that we still love to watch at any age, the horror films what scare the life out of use but we still watch them, the love story what we all wish for, but were did film come from well film’s started being made in 1890s but these were sort film what lasted about 2 to 3 minutes not the full length films that we know today. The first film to have speech in was The Jazz Singer in October 1927 any film before that was classed as a silent film but it had music instead of speech. The first film to be made in colour was Cupid Angling in 1918 but the most popular one is the famous Wizard of Oz

Interactive media: Interactive media is things like computers and laptops. interactive media normally refers to services on digital computer-based systems which work when the user of a computer clicks on text, graphics, animation, video, audio and games.

Computer games: Were would we be if we never had our computer games but they are more commonly know now as just games. You get games for all game console such as PS3, PS4, Xbox one and Xbox 360. Up to 75% of Britens population have a games console in there home somtimes even more then one. Games console's change people's life especially for teenagers. Some teenagers  day's consits of going to school/college then coming home and going stright on there games console in there bedroom. in some case's games consoles are bad for you.

Photography photo imaging: Photography photo imaging is just the longer name but its popular name is photography. Photography is everything thing you see as a still image. Photography is everything from a landscape photo to a self-portrait. The first even photograph was taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1826 or 1827 of an upside down window.

Advertising and marketing: In media advertising and marketing is where you promote something for an example a Film to promote the film you normally see the actors on talk shows talking about the upcoming movie. Marketing is what the movie or show earns for a film it’s the box offices.

Job role: Director

There are alot of steps in becoming a director many diretorts started out by just watching film to get ideas what they could do and see how other directors work. Also one of the best things to do is to find other people's mistaks so you know what to do when you start. Another step is making little film with your frtiends, it doesnt have to be perfect its all about learning about the skills that you will need theres always other times to improve. Theres one thing as an director that you will need to is tell the actor's if there doing what you want them to do so the best thing there is to do is get some experience as an actor such as a drama group in school or college.

Director is a full time job and has long hour sometimes you are the last person to leave and the first person to be on set. Also you have to make sure everything is running okay because if there is something wrong on set it might affect other Areas that are on the set at the time. Pay as a director depends on what film it is if its a low rate of money  you could get hardly anything but if its a well know saga or show then you might have a big pay check in the post.
